I’ve been told that a President can’t call up the National Guard without a request from a Governor, yet Trump often talks about sending in the National Guard to Minneapolis and Seattle during the 2020 riots, without a request from their Governors. How do you reconcile those two statements?

I believe that Seattle (or was it Portland) had federal buildings, which the President can protect without permission from the governor. I’m not sure if the NG was used in Washington, but Federal Marshalls were there, putting up a good fight.

Got called a conspiracy theorist by my husband after sending him Steve Kirsch’s last email with all the evidence against the shots...he’s a scientist...his dad has been injured by the shots...I’m going to ask him what his dad’s life is worth to him and is he willing to bet his dad’s life on the safety of the shots...

Tell him that I said it’s a good thing there’s never been a conspiracy... that we are so lucky that people are ethical, and would never conspire to harm others for power or profit. That all humans are basically saints and there is nothing to suggest otherwise in all of history. Ain’t it grand?

After the girl was hit BY A TRAIN ( ! ) the cops still are intent on searching her truck rather than being distressed by what they did, possibly killing her. Cold blooded idiots.
News articles indicate that the idiot tatted- up female cop is on leave, it was her car parked on the tracks.
I hope the seriously injured young woman sues them for $20 million.

I don’t remember all the details, but President Trump offered NG to the DC devil-mayoress, and Pelosi was briefed by the FBI to have more security, and they both refused.
Regarding Trump calling the NG without governors’ request, the governors did not ask until finally I think in MN (?) and then Trump authorized. He went by the book. Governors have to ask. Unless it’s some kind serious (real) insurrection. If someone knows more or better, chime in!
I think, I know he offered to defend it, but the capital is the house of representative’s responsibility. Pelosi refused the help.
Still, the only murder that took place on jan 6 was that of Ashley Babbitt by a Capital police officer.
