All they established (so far) was that they fired a lucky shot after 69 tries.

That was my thought as well.
Yep. It’s impressive, but when you can re-azimuth after each shot, it means you can eventually hit the target, if you get enough tries.
I’ll also bet it was a pretty calm wind, if any...
As a long range guy, this is neither impressive nor useful.

Exactly. I’m not impressed that he got it in 69 tries. 10 would have shown skill. 69 is just pure luck.
I was with some folks yesterday that were Consistently shooting .22 long rifle at
10x12 inche Plate from 300 yesterday.

The bullet speed was too slow to kick up dust. The spotting was done by sound and guessing where the previous shot hit.
