For those that think EVs and Musk are going to save the world, you’re living in LaLa Land
I’m glad it’s being reported.
If they can lock you out for a lack of a new battery, they can lock you out over some parking tickets in the brave and new world.
It’s about control. The interconnected nature of all things electronic make the Internet of Things more than just personal assistants and home automation. It’s about control. If you think they’ll stop at EVs, just wait till you see what big tech is working on.
The next 5 years are going to be revolutionary, and sadly, most of the public is going to gobble up the new toys without thinking about the repercussions.
“This could be a flat out lie. But the cost of the battery seems in line with other accounts.”
The buyer popped the access port, hooked up a 12v jumper and opened the doors.
Or is the door locked because the battery is dead?
Yeah, $60K for the car, $26K for the battery and nowhere to charge. Sign me up for two of these crapsandwiches because I don’t care where my money comes from, or where it goes.
Battery died and the electric door locks stopped working?

Give me a Dart with a Slant-six.
This can’t be. I just read on here this morning, the batteries last 20 yrs or more. Why, the battery will outlast the car!
"Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!"
If the battery went dead of course he’s locked out. The door locks are probably battery operated.
The can lock you out of your Tesla because Fakebook reported you questioned the 2020 Presidential election.
They are doing their best to shovel so much sh*t down our throats about these cars. Has anyone investigated what politicians are making all the money pushing this crap?
Elon has told everyone that the infrastructure is not in place to handle the number of EVs in production.
He has also said it’s not a good idea just yet to go whole hog against “fossile fuels” as all my rockets burn pure kerosene and lots of it!
I saw the guy on Tucker today.
LOL
My bud owns and runs a used car dealership. All he does is contact this Indonesian guy whose known in L.A. as the “tesla battery guy” where he recharges/replaces the battery for a fraction of the cost, when he buys a Tesla at auction or someone trades it in. $26K is highway robbery.
Right, dead Teslas are just a trickle. In a few short years, there will be an avalanche of dead Teslas and the suckers who bought them will be up in arms.
Haul it to Mexico (hotshot rig), report it stolen, file your insurance claim.
One Tesla owner in Canada makes a dubious claim, and it is international news treated as fact.
Is it possible the man can’t get into his Tesla because the battery is dead and not because he is locked out by the company?
