Trump openly embraces, amplifies QAnon conspiracy theories
AP News ^ | 16 September 2022 | DAVID KLEPPER and ALI SWENSON

After winking at QAnon for years, Donald Trump is overtly embracing the baseless conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to it grows.

On Tuesday, using his Truth Social platform, the Republican former president reposted an image of himself wearing a Q lapel pin overlaid with the words “The Storm is Coming.” In QAnon lore, the “storm” refers to Trump’s final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.

As Trump contemplates another run for the presidency and has become increasingly assertive in the Republican primary process during the midterm elections, his actions show that far from distancing himself from the political fringe, he is welcoming it.

He’s published dozens of recent Q-related posts, in contrast to 2020, when he claimed that while he didn’t know much about QAnon, he couldn’t disprove its conspiracy theory.

I am unvaccinated. Sorry to disappoint. You can call yourself a pure blood if you like but have you fully done your research? The NIH growing food, tobacco, et al as vaccines. You could be vaccinated and not even know it. 😆

It was sarcasm. The “pureblood” claim is ridiculous since they will get the same mRNA from the virus if they catch it. They get the vaccine mRNA plus a whole lot more.

The phrase also sounds remarkably similar to one from Nuremberg 1935 which hopefully the clowns don’t intend.

Magnets stick to my arm but I am certain that is coincidental.

Apologies I missed the sarcasm. It is hard to tell these days, so many are proud ‘purebloods’ and yes, it absolutely similar.

Thanks! Conspiracy of ravens. I was trying to remember that, but was coming up with a blank, with “murder of crows” blocking the way. The bunch who stole our lunch were indeed quite the conspirators ... turned drinking buddies, lol! Like the Burford Highwaymen meeting up at the Royal Oak for a pint after counting up their loot. They really are interesting and incredibly smart birds. No wonder they figure so prominently in myth and folklore and superstition.

I almost forgot they were speculating about Q actually being the Queen. Ah, that’s it! It explains everything. The Queen is at the Hall of Justice along with her Conspiracy of Attack Ravens, practicing up on her jiu jitsu moves with JFK Jr and Princess Diana when she’s not typing cryptic messages on 8kun. The ravens seen at The Tower are holograms or clones or imposters or something. Wait. 8kun. I can’t imagine HMTQ having anything to do with that cesspool. Ooh, ooh — I got it! The ravens have been taught to tap the keyboard. Makes sense. After all, ravens are not known for their good punctuation and grammar.

Sorry Pelham and I were confusing, and yes it does get confusing around here at times and hard to tell who is joking and who’s for real about this stuff. We were joking, of course, but, yes, some here are deadly serious. We joke because, well, what Jimmy Buffet’s song says. But there is also a sad and ugly side to it, and it’s so divisive. I don’t think there is a single person on FR in favor of mandates, vaccinated or not, so why can’t we agree to agree on that? After all, it’s the politically actionable aspect. Why drive that wedge between us?

QANON was a Psyop. A lot of people to include some relatives were taken in by it. I had a cousin that actually thought that Trump would retake the White House in August of 2021. I told him that QANON was full of crap and to not believe such bull. And question the people you know that actually do believe it.

AP News wrote that if Trump wins Presidency 2024, he is going to execute his enemies on live TV? Surely, Trump can sue for that BS.

Neanderthal thinking explains why we have a Republican Senate full of “Moderate Republicans” strangling Americans right along with the communist tyrants across the aisle.
That crap line of having to please those b@$+@^/$ to win is what they’ve shoved down our throat since Bush 41! We bought it. From Dole, Romney, McCain...

Their are no Senate moderates, but for a handful. Who doesn’t know those UniParty clucks have for decades been captured and have shared in the same corrupt racket as the communists across the aisle.

“Moderate Republicans” may think they still matter, you may think they still matter, and they may keep a few necks in their noose, but MAGA left them, in 2016.

We’re a new base. We’re SIX years strong, we’re showing up and we’re not going back.

QAnon is a strawman against Q, to prevent people from waking up.

Most people denigrating Q are doing it to go along with the herd.

When the EMP attack comes (if there isn't a limited nuclear exchange with Russia first), we are all screwed.

Recall that the electrical transformers used in the US (along with most antibiotics, or their feedstocks) come from China.

Retread Troll.

First, apples and oranges. My post, to which you replied, was about voters in the general election, not RINOs in office.

In 2016, Trump got not only the base but also moderate Republicans, Independents and a slice of Democrats. In 2020, he still got moderate Republicans and some Independents.

If he panders to the Q crowd, he’ll lose the Independents and turn off moderate Republicans, some of whom may stay home, while firing up the Democrats.

Trump seems to know this, hence no Q gear or merch allowed at his rallies.

I realize this doesn’t sit well with you, being a Q follower yourself, but that’s just the way it is. I also realze you must feel strongly, as you replied a post from over a week ago. There is really no point discussing it, though, as you will never be convinced of this, nor will I be convinced to take your view. We’ll just have to agree to disagree. I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

AP did not say that. Here is what the article said:

“In QAnon lore, the “storm” refers to Trump’s final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.”

Why would Trump sue AP? They are not the ones claiming he would do such a thing. Many Q followers have claimed this, and some still do.

Most people denigrating Q are doing it to go along with the herd.

Some people do it because it stirs up the Qtards,
makes 'em jump around and squeal in outrage.

Surely you can't be against good wholesome entertainment?

Speaking of good wholesome entertainment, have you seen the guy calling himself Richard Feelgood (giggle) who stole that “Q” music from the legitimate composer whose music the Trump campaign is using?

He’s some goofy Finnish guy who wears a stuffed Teddy Bear head:

No, you really can’t make this stuff up!
