Turns out they wanted the status titles all along, just not the 'life of service.
There's class. And if you have none, you might be Meghan and Harry.
The "non-working" royals, as the matter is delicately put, are in a snit these days because now that the queen is dead, they didn't get the spoils they thought they were entitled to:
According to the New York Post:
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids will not be given His and Her Royal Highness titles — leaving the exiled couple once again “furious” at the royal family over the snub, according to a report.
Harry’s dad, the new King Charles III, has agreed to soon bestow the titles of prince and princess on his California-based grandkids, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, according to the Sun.
But after a week of tense negotiations, he has refused to allow them to be known as HRH, titles that were stripped from their podcasting parents after they abandoned the family and the UK in 2020.
“That is the agreement — they can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals,” one insider told the UK paper.
The decision follows “a lot of talks over the past week” since Harry’s dad became king the moment his 96-year-old mother died last Thursday.
“They have been relentless since the Queen died,” the insider said of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, saying they “have been insistent that Archie and Lilibet are prince and princess.”
So what are we reading here? That they want the titles and status of royalty, nice high royalty, not some Ruritanian eurochicken title from some long gone dynasty, but don't want to put the work in of being royalty.

Absolutely of no interest other than the tick-tock countdown of Harrible divorcing that ratchet in the next 2 years, and both of them suffering irreperable harm ongoing, particularly after the girl renounces the charade (Megan: Ratchet, Harry: Oedipus) and reunites with the Royal Family. Schadenfreude.
I thought for sure Mrs. Harkle would “faint” while standing during the ceremony the other day. Narcissist that she is, she can’t stand not being the center of attention.

Her claiming she was not told “God Save the Queen” was the national anthem and she had to google it was ridiculous as well...how could she have been in Britain and never heard it? Let alone most of us over here knew that as well.

He's 38. See what happens in 5 years. Maybe nothing. He's rich. Money is not the answer to everything. But they make life easier.

I give it 50% chance. His father is more of a SOB. Harry appears to be beta despite spending his time in the military. Maybe it's all that Diana's influence and the fact that his father was a prick.

Yes, when done correctly the business of being a Royal can probably be a bit taxing. Then there’s the aspect of worrying about slips of the tongue, people stalking you trying to take pictures, not being able to have a real friend and confidant like normal people, etc, etc.
And then there’s the security issues. They had several attempts on the lives of Royals in past decades. One attempt did kill Lord Mountbatten on his yacht. It’s a wonder some sand flea hasn’t tried flying a plane into Buckingham Palace or Balmoral.
Charles has been saying for some time that the list of working Royals needed to be trimmed. Harry and Meghan are a good place to start. Randy Andy might get cut loose too. His situation may still get interesting.
No talk of bags of cash or underage girls. The Firm quickly takes care of those things.
I'm not so sure it isn't the other way around...

It’s all about Harry’s “tell all book” and twenty million dollars. The Harkles are desperate to release the book which won’t go well so close to the Queen’s death. So they create another controversy, using their kids, against the “racist mean Royals, thus justifying the release of the book, as planned. Same old liberal thinking, “never let a good crisis go to waste”.
