The vax is quickly becoming Trump's version of Bush's WMD. He can claim he meant well, but the whole mission was a lie. And it cost very much life, liberty and happiness. HUGE failure is huge failure, regardless of intent.
It is only a lie if you know it to be untrue. Trump depended upon highly qualified "experts" whose agenda was to mislead him and do him political harm. Bush depended upon intel reports from multiple sources that confirmed WMDs in Iraq. Which were in fact moved to Syria on the eve of the Gulf War.
Does it bother me that neither has said "They fooled me"? Yes, a little, but not nearly as much as the liars who did the fooling.
