Probably better to be able to be a raven and hang around the Tower as a tourist attraction and get your regular meal than fend for yourself in the wild in the winter eating roadkill.

The whole "England will fall" appears to be promulgated and encouraged by the Masters of the Ravens to ensure their long term employment and does at least provide a less grisly tourist attraction than a bald recitation of "This is the place of confinement and execution of....."

Britain has its Master of Ravens, we have our Masters of Leeches (Congress.)
