R​ight now, the National Hurricane Center forecast calls for Fiona to gain some strength by early next week, which would allow it to make a gradual northward turn near Hispaniola and the Turks and Caicos.

I​f the forecast for strengthening plays out, then Fiona could continue that northward curl toward a break in its current steering high-pressure system. That track would take Fiona toward the open western Atlantic waters and most likely away from the U.S. East Coast.

Not sure its going to make us landfall. They have several projections but they are forcasts models haha!Mike at spaghettimodels.com says the stronger the storm the harder right turn it makes and further away from us landfall.I just think its weird to have a storm named FIONA at this point in history! You can’t make this up! ha ha!

I agree. While I love what DeSantis is saying and, even more importantly, doing, there is something about his body language and demeanor that strikes me as insincere. I hope I am wrong. It reminds me of how the cowboys in the old west used to get the horse herds to follow them into a box canyon and then fence off the exits.
