I do hold him in some esteem for being honorable and dutiful to his mother. I might not agree with his politics, but those two factors should be held in high regard for any man.

Lord Mountbatten was Philip’s uncle. The family name was originally Battenberg. “Berg” is German for “mountain,” so they de-Germanized it by changing “Battenberg” to “Mountbatten”.

Maybe he should select a new one not one of his given names.
I vote for Athelstan the Bretwalda. (Bretwalda - Anglo-Saxon for Ruler of Britain.)
It would be a good choice particularly since Truss’s new cabinet seems to be devoid of Anglo-Saxons or even Celts!
