A TikTok influencer and beauty queen from Toronto, Canada, died after skydiving in her first solo course last weekend.
Tanya Pardazi, 21, fell to her death on August 27 while completing a jump at Skydive Toronto in Innisfil, Ontario. The skydiving school requires students to finish a day of ground training before attempting a solo dive, CTV News Toronto reported.
Pardazi, a philosophy student at the University of Toronto, had opened her parachute too late during her dive.
Skydive Toronto said in a statement posted to Facebook that Pardazi "released a quickly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time/altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate."

The big question is “How many will this ‘influencer’ influence to go ‘splat’?”
She Roman Candled ( the old term from the parachute regiments in WWII)
I just went back and read the article (I know, I know, it’s not the FR Way) and there was something in there about her doing her ground training a couple of days before August 22, so there’s a good chance that the fatal jump was not her very first. It’s possible that a static line was required for a first jump, but that was not made clear in the story.
So sitting on your ass posting videos is being an ‘influencer’
“I don’t know anything about parachuting. Maybe she just pulled the wrong cord. It’s sad. RIP.”
There’s more than one ripcord? Better choose wisely.
Only if you’re selling ad time.
Back when I was skydiving, a nooby was required to have 5 static line jumps before going commando. That is to avoid just such an occurrence.
Maybe that’s an American FAA thing.
Must be the next TikTok challenge.
If, at first, you don’t succeed, skydiving is definitely not your thing.
Our father was a pilot in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He survived it all. He used to say there are two kinds of people that jump out of airplanes; idiots, and people in the armed forces. He refused to jump as long as he still had control, could at least glide. While as a Colonel he had pretty much flown every type of aircraft, he was flying a smaller plane when he was shot down in Vietnam. God was with him again, as the good guys reached him first.
Internet influencers are dangerous. Do not underestimate the garbage they are feeding the next generation who cannot stop watching tik tok
Canadian Woman, get away from mee-eee!>>>>>>>>>>>>
See my post #58
She must have been mucho desirable. Theres a guy trying to jump her at the last minute at low altitude. He must have been close to splatting too.
Sad. may she RIP.
Many years ago after 9/11 I ran across a group of folks who were teaching local police how to identify manpad components.
Manpads are stashed all around major airports around the US. Stashed by very naughty types.
Happy flying:)
