Rough language, harsh reviewing style, linguistic acrobatics.

😏 Well, you are right: it is a bit randy for sure. Still, he confirms all that I heard about Amazon's production and why I have not asked my son, who has Prime, to buy access.
I can watch Peter Jackson's The Hobbit because I have when younger loved fantasy. But any relation between Tolkien's children's tale and Jackson's trilogy of drek is purely coincidental. I Cannot imagine why Christopher Tolkien OK'd that fantasy yellow journalism {to put it kindly} except for $$$$... and doing that while rejecting my Dictionary as linguistically unacceptable {I presume}.
When I first put the Dictionary on line I was getting between 3k and 4k hits a week; I got requests from foreign countries to re-post the Dictionary in their language - which I granted because I couldn't make a penny off of it without being sued. Eventually Yahoo cut off my monitoring of numbers so I have no idea what its audience is now. Still, all those 'hits' were potential $$$$ in the pocket of the Tolkien estate. I suppose they are waiting for the Tolkien linguists to create their own dictionary -- or they are waiting for a trolley.
I have moved on. To see Tolkien go 'Woke' sort of satisfies my perverse longings. It couldn't happen to nicer people! 🥱
