Agreed. Holding a new election after nullification of the compromised one would best be conducted under military oversight.

When I took my oath of Service, it included words that were regarding the defense of the Constitution ‘against all Enemies, foreign and domestic.’
What the heck to people think that actually means?
Well, my oath remains unexpired, and all active duty persons ought to properly acknowledge that the domestic enemies are the much greater threat these days.
This threat of destruction of our Nation simply must be contended with, forcefully.
