◽️ The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue a special military operation in Ukraine.
◽️As a result of the offensive actions of the allied forces , the losses of the 68th infantry-jaeger, 66th mechanized and 56th motorized infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operating in the Donetsk direction amounted to more than 600 people . In addition, about 160 servicemen of the 66th mechanized brigade refused to take further part in further hostilities . The command of the operational-tactical group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Donetsk” decided to withdraw these formations due to the loss of combat capability from their positions to the rear areas.
💥More than 50 percent of the personnel of the 20th battalion of the 93rd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed by the strikes of the operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Artemovsk region. 💥A high-precision weapon of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the area of Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic hit the temporary deployment point of the 72nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Destroyed about 80 nationalists and 8 units of military equipment .
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile forces and artillery continue to strike at military facilities on the territory of Ukraine .

I suspect that our new-age plan was to build some ‘shock and awe’ conventional weapons and leave it at that. However, doing so results in very high cost, which then limits quantities (particularly at union wages).
The Russians, of course, study our plans (since they often get published), and after laughing, figured out that having something like 50 regular 152s for every 1 titanium-plated 155, would give them the edge in a protected war (something our woke military deemed non-credible).
So they gave us a war we couldn’t win - a war of attrition.

I had to go on base yesterday for some admin. It looks dumpy. A 120 year old base with historical buildings. But overgrown neglected landscaping. Huge piles of dirt with grass and weeds growing out.

I saw a second lieutenant a woman way overweight wearing a wrinkled uniform she was wearing braided pigtails way down past her shoulders. She looked like an idiot. It’s hard enough to get respect as a 2 lt who wants to listen to anything she has to say.

Without regard to the credibility of this source, this question is easy to answer. IMHO, yes. We did that in Vietnam and again in Afghanistan, and you can bet we'll do it again.
Our government and military industrial complex don't care about the troops killed and maimed, the deficits we build up, or how humiliating the exit was. All they care about is making money from these conflicts.

The Carl Gustav is a fine Swedish weapon that has been in production for better than half a century, with constant refinements and improvements. As a portable, man carried recoiless rifle, it is more weight efficient than single shot, tube launched missiles. I have no doubt that Saab and its contractors will quickly be awarded contracts to produce more and that US troops will soon get new and more advanced versions than what they are now giving up.
