After speaking with police, the male traveler was allowed to continue through the airport and ultimately to his destination in Portland, Oregon — sans pen gun.
WTF? Allowed to continue through? Who was the guy? Bet he was muslim.

Normally people like this are arrested on the spot by TSA and/or local police. Did this person have a MA concealed carry license? Amazing how uncurious the reporter is about who this person was. Heading to Portland: the person must be an important leftist or Dem official.

Could have been a tear gas pen. I have seen them where they fire a cartridge that gets screwed onto the business end.

He also would have been allowed to transport the item had he packed it properly in his checked baggage, the TSA said.

OH?
I’m not so sure.
Registered?, Delcared?, etc.
Maybe if the checked baggage exam did not find it, maybe.

I am AMAZED he was not arrested, like he would be, if he’d had any other gun.
