Stated it was developed with Chinese help and technology, Russia says it will start mass producing them soon.
“Looks like Rusty wants a snack.”
“I’d give him one.”
“Nice doggy... nice doggy... NOOO!!
I wanna shark with a freakin laser
in other news... swarming drones..
Their main feature is expendability and mass-producibility. Imagine a few dozen of them ambushing your column. Suppressive fire won’t work.
New, improved, war.
In 1953 Ray Bradbury called it in Fahrenheit 451. Robot dogs that kill you by injection.
In the possibly cancelled series “War Of The Worlds”, these things ran around and rammed spikes into peoples’ skulls.
The sound effects of them moving were horrifying.
It looks like a cheap, Chinese-made GO-1 robot with an RPG-26 LAW mounted on its back. The robot is useless in rough terrain or bad weather (made for household use) and because the RPG-26 has to be manually cocked by flipping up the rear sight (no idea why the front sight is flipped up in the video, except to look scarier), it has to run around fully armed and ready to fire all the time, creating a potential danger to even friendly forces. Max payload for the GO-1 Pro version is 3kg, which the mounted RPG-26 with missile would exceed at 3.5kg, so obviously (or at least hopefully!) the weapon in the video is empty. And because of the weight limit, the addition of a fire control system or trigger-pulling mechanism would add even more weight.
First Law - A robot may not MUST injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
Second Law - A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings OTHER ROBOTS except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
Third Law - A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Internet sleuths quickly debunked this purported new Russian tech...it’s a fully developed Chinese dog-bot with a ninja costume.
The Telegraph has a 54 sec video...
Astute FRers will recall seeing the Chinese rob-dog roaming the locked down neighborhoods carrying a speaker broadcasting a warning sound loop.
