Researchers at UCLA found that climate change is doubling the chances of biblical flooding to occur in California With every degree the Earth is warming, scientists say, the odds and size of the state's next megaflood 'is bigger in almost every respect'
The scientists found that an extreme monthlong storm could bring several feet of rain to hundreds of miles of California Some cities may even experience more than 100 inches of rain, displacing 5 to 10 million people and cutting off the state's freeways for weeks or even a month The flood could cause $1 trillion in damages, and the economic effects of it would be felt worldwide
Climate change is putting Californians at risk of a massive flood that would cost $1 trillion in damage, displace millions of residents and submerge parts of Los Angeles and Sacramento, according to a new study.
Researchers with University of California Los Angeles found that climate change is doubling the chances of biblical flooding to occur in The Golden State.
And with each degree the Earth is warming, the odds and size of the next megaflood 'is bigger in almost every respect,' Daniel Swain, a UCLA climate scientist and co-author of the study, said in a statement.
'There's more rain overall, more intense rainfall on an hourly basis and stronger winds,' he said.
In fact, the UCLA scientists found, an extreme monthlong storm — like the one that drowned Sacramento and inundated modern Los Angeles in 1862 — could bring several feet of rain to hundreds of miles of California.

WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!
More climate crap BS.
Didn’t AlGore already predict that? Since his prediction was totally wrong, it has to be revived targeting another location.
In other words a Super El Niño, which has occurred several times in the 20th century-the early 1900s, the mid 30s, the mid 60s, the early 70s.
Can we add San Fran while we’re at it? And NYC and d.c. and...........
““Experts” on George Soros’ payroll of course”
Sadly they’re on OUR payroll.
Don’t have to be an expert to guess the weather. What bunch of dummies?
Ya a megaflood sometime in the next 40 years.. can’t predict the next week of local weather but 40yrs out is a sure bet
You don’t know the half of it: there’ll also be dogs and cats—- living together. Real Wrath of God type stuff
“Experts?” No thanks.
It's raining. That's no good. There's gonna be mudslides and flooding.
So this flooding has been happening over the last millennia, but now the cause is man-made climate change?
If storms such as this haven’t repeated for more than a century and a half, I argue that Global Warming is making these LESS frequent!
Dogs and cats living together...
A little more rain in Kookifornicate is a good thing, no? The LIEberals favorite guppy, the Delta Smelt would flourish. A little further east Lake Powell could use a few more quarts of H20 too.
Flooding and mudslides happen EVERY year in California. Plug in Ca, mudslides and a year.
God created the earth and only He can destroy it. Humanity can damage it in spots however puny mankind will not destroy the earth nor affect its global climate with any significant impacts. Solar, earth’s rotations along with associated cycles in global wind and weather cycles are not subject nor controlled by human activities. God is in control, not godless leftards who want that power, try as they might. Not happening.
100 inches of rain in a month would make the Big Valley the biggest lake in the world.
400 x 100 miles.
It HAS happened before recorded history.
Southern California’s storm water systems major facilities are based on that. Prado dam was raised to prevent that. In SC the design storm happened in two successive years.
