I didn’t gas up today, but saw proof that maybe I should wait a couple more days. One sign said $3.899/gal.

6.51 cents per kWh, with each kWh getting me 3 miles. That comes out to a hair over 2 cents per mile.

We came back from southeastern British Columbia yesterday and waited to fill up until we got back to Idaho. We passed a station at $3.84 in Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho, but thought we would do better a few miles farther south in Sandpoint, Idaho. But we wound up paying $4.25 for 25 gallons. We blew $10 by not filling up earlier! Sigh.
We were surprised at the spread between Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint.

19.9 was the lowest I ever paid. It was in Columbia, Missouri when I was in college in 1970 or 1971.
We had a station named “U-Pump Ethyl” which always cracked me up. It was the first self-service gas station I ever used. But the name is still hilarious.

$3.89 in Plymouth, NH.
Most places were above $4 but a few towns were below.
We got it when we could.

£1, 53p per liter yesterday in New Waltham, Lincolnshire, England. That’s $1.85 a liter or $6.99 per US gallon. I can remeber $.29 a gallon in Rockville, Md. in 1962. Plus if you filled up you got a free green glass mug with wooden handle and cattle brands on them. After a while my Mom told me not to bring any more home.
