Since this seems to be a “cat-friendly” community, and those of us who are old enough to know when it is inappropriate to try to make a fashion statement, either because of our age, or our God-given body type...
let’s offer some constructive assistance to Michelle and Jill so that they don’t make themselves fools in front of the body politic.
So, here goes... If you are not built like an Eileen Ford runway model, don’t try to dress like one. You will look foolish at best, ridiculous at worst, and people will make fun of you.
If you are past the age of 48, forget trying to look like you are 32. It doesn’t fool anyone, and you look awful, like a flower past its bloom time, ready to be thrown out in the trash.
If you are over 65, don’t show hints of cleavage, boobs, thighs, or any other attributes of adolescent beauty. It has long fled, and you don’t have it anymore, so why advertise that you are no longer appetizing?
Dress attractively, of course, but don’t try to be fashionable. The designers do not have you in mind when they go to their sketch boards to create this year’s 5’9” 110 lb. leggy models with teensie breasts boyish look.
It won’t work for you, and will humiliate your parents (if they are still alive) your husband, your children, and your friends, should you even try to pull it off in public.
I hope you read this, Jill and Michelle, and save us from being embarrassed that we elected men who married such ignorant frumps.
