It should be TRUMP in 2024 - and DeSantis should wait until 2028 because he's still young and needs to make Florida a red state for generations: CPAC attendees reveal who they want to be on the ticket to face the Democrats

When President Donald Trump takes the stage at a major conservative conference in Dallas on Saturday he will likely have just received a boost to his 2024 plans in the form of a straw poll that will almost certainly rank him as the clear favorite among attendees.

But that is not the end of the story as far as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whose star has been on the rise this year.

Attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference want him first to continue the work he is doing in Florida before taking up the national MAGA torch in the 2028 election.

If Trump loses, there won’t be a 2028 during the war

Agree. He’s got to do better with women and younger voters.

One demonstrating what states’ rights are the President backing him up.

Remember when Trump criticized DeSantis for opening Florida up too early and called him "gutless" for refusing to disclose if he'd been vaxxed?

he isn’t moving his family to the harsh miserable climate of washington dc anytime soon...

You post this repeatedly on every DeSantis thread. Why do you keep pretending to speak for the governor?

Are you in DeSantis' inner circle? Even his press secretary isn't saying these things.

It is disloyal. After all Trump did for us there are a lot of people willing to toss him aside.

They're digging up everything they can on him.

That's probably correct, for now. But if he declares nationally, the probe will go beyond anything you've seen. Since Trump.

Problem is, there just isn't much. Harvard grad, JAG lawyer, congressman, governor. Married to his first wife.

Doesn't matter. Do you believe Trump was a Russian asset? Didn't matter, did it? The national leftist smear machine awaits, and as I said, you, nor any of us know if RDS can handle it anywhere near as well as Trump did.

So we'll disagree here. You think RDS is ready for it all. I don't, because the heavy stuff really won't happen until the minute he declares, then we will begin to find out.

I think Trump can handle it far better than anyone else I know about, and he isn't finished yet.

The only people who have "moved on" from the 2020 election are the Sports Fags, drunks, druggies, and others who share the sub-67 IQ scoring and behavioral range.

Most of the people in the whole world do not recognize either the Biden administration or the Pelosi congress as legitimate parts of the US government. Because they are not.

The Democrats and RINOs also cannot "move on" from the 2020 election, obviously, because they have to keep the J6 Committee witch hunt going, as well as their attacks on ordinary citizens who supported Trump and still do.

So, until there is a resolution of the 2020 shenanigans:

2022 elections are just an extension of the 2020 election.
2024 elections are just an extension of the 2020 election.

And so on, until there is a resolution via reformed elections that are trusted by a majority of the people ...

... or a devastating Civil War, sufficiently devastating to change the course of history, like the Civil War of 1860-65 was, and had to be.

Trump sure hasn’t done a lot for the J6 people…

Put not your trust in princes or the sons of man. No politician should ever have your slavish allegiance.

President Biden will pack the Supreme Court. EPA gets their powers back. ICE vehicles banned by 2030. You have that old gas guzzler? You have to get rid of it and buy an EV. Roe vs Wade is codified into law. There will be a limit of political debate because it is all "hate speech". You'll get 1/6ed.

Him coming out in their defense would do them more harm than good. Once he gets back in he pardons then and after exposing the real culprits they can sue for restitution. All of them.

I do love this discussion, dear FRiends.

And, it will continue for the next two years.

As a small suggestion, we might consider cordial treatment of each other. (We're all on the same team, we're in the process of choosing the QB.)

Yep. We are trying to pick our QB1. Don't forget Drew Bledsoe was QB1 for New England Patriots. He took them to the Super Bowl a couple years earlier. But then Tom Brady came off the bench when Bledsoe was injured and the rest is history.

“I’m a native Floridian as well as lifelong conservative Republican and I agree 100% with the headline”

DITTO!

The problem we face is the enemy within our own party. Just read all the naysayers about Trump, they are all so ignorant to believe that it was his fault for what happened in 2020 even to the point of blaming his sons.

It doesn’t matter who we run in 2024, Trump, DeSantis or some new star, the Democrats will lie, cheat and riot to win and half of the Republican party will look the other way as usual, doing nothing.

Just look at the bird brain Colorado just nominated for the Republican Senate, Joe O’Dea, good old Joe doesn’t like Mr. Trump and lets everyone know it. Gee, he can join Mitt Romney and the other Rino Senators that don’t like Trump.

We have major problems and they have nothing to do with whomever runs as POTUS.

I think DeSantis can be a bigger thorn in the left’s side as a governor than as a president.

That's my opinion as well. But he needs to be ready, if he gets the call.
