When the Build Back Better bill passed in the House a while back we had at least one Freeper who showed up and blamed passage on ‘RINOs’. This, in spite of the fact that not a single House Republican voted for the bill (and in spite of the fact there is no filibuster in the House).

Indeed. This post is more of the same old soup warmed over. This does not have the votes to pass - the Democrats have the majority - they do not need Republican votes if it could pass without a filibuster. This would not even be brought up for a vote if the GOP was in charge. We just had another big string of SCOTUS victories that could not have occurred but for Republican Senate control, and these people are still "done" with the GOP and claiming it doesn't make any difference. Logic and reality don't apply to these people.

From Wikipedia:

“Murkowski ran for and won a full term in 2004. After losing the 2010 Republican primary to Tea Party candidate Joe Miller, Murkowski ran as a write-in candidate and defeated both Miller and Democrat Scott McAdams in the general election. She is the second U.S. senator (after Strom Thurmond in 1954) to be elected by write-in vote. Murkowski was elected to a third term in 2016, running as a Republican.”

Write in candidate= independent.

Congress can pass an unconstitutional bill and this Supreme Court will knock it down as soon as it comes to them.

Fine, lets see that Bill and what is in it and how far they are going to try and take it. I want to see a vote, after 50 years put it in writing and vote. They are basically cowards and probably this is all BS, none of them on either side really want to take a stand. If they came up with a Bill, one that would actually pass, then it would have to narrowly drafted along the lines of Europe, only in the first trimester and then only if Rape, Incest, Life of Mother. No wide open bill would pass the Congress and they all know it.

The destruction of the GOP is a necessary precondition for saving the nation.

It’s not sufficient - but it’s clearly necessary.

And no where in there does it say she quit being a Republican and ran as an independent.

She ran as a write-in, Republican candidate. Alaska law at the time allowed that for write-in candidates to still claim a party even without being the nominee. The list of write-in candidates that could be requested at the time even listed her as a Republican.

I think you should leave America. Your problem is not with Republicans, it is with American voters

I'll stand my ground here, thank you.

I just realize at some point the ballot box will become ineffective.

You can lick the boots of your new overlords, but I won't.

“If this is true I’m pretty much done with voting Republicans.”

Agree, the country will be MUCH BETTER OFF with One-Party Democrat rule.

In fact, we won’t even need to vote anymore.

Murkowski is going to win her primary and will be easily re-elected.

This appears to be the same bill they proposed previously shortly after the Roe decision was leaked. People are pretending to act like this is something new to be outraged about. They do not have the votes to pass this. Democrats are in charge and do not need any Republican votes to pass such a bill if a filibuster did not apply - 51 votes with Harris.

The outrage by the OP is entirely phony.

There is no party primary in Alaska anymore.

Try to make sense.

Didn’t SCOTUS say this was a states’ issue?

Just as retarded as not being able to choose between a party where 96% of the Senators agree with you, and a party where 100% of the Senators disagree with you.
