My cat does that growly thing sometimes if we give him a toy that is furry like a real animal. I got clawed really badly once when he got hold of something that I feared was too small and dangerous for him. He did NOT want that taken away!

It was pre-digital. If I can find the pic I’ll scan and post.

Down here in Florida, one of my neighbors has 3 outdoor cats. They help keep the lizard population down.

And that’s why kitties are invasive species, because along with the kitty comes child support, divorce, alimony, etc.

What are these sharp-bladed grasses called? I have a bag of grass seed, and I want to make sure it doesn’t have that stuff in it.

safe implantable birth control for cats. Capture, spay|neuter, release back to site of capture. Works well in some places.

Been living with one or more cats for over fifty years.
Some are pure hunter when they can be, others do not GAS about it.

My nephew has a German Shorthair puppy and when it's allowed into the back yard, there is a pair of red wing black birds that keep it busy dive bombing him for as long as he's out there and he kept chasing them around the yard.
Saw it a couple weeks ago when the family was over to his house for a birthday party.
In my mind, a .177 PCP air rifle would have taken care of that problem......

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire, or both.)

Nonsense. I bet the ratio would be 500 to 1, i.e. rodents vs songbirds eaten by cats.

My two new indoor-only kittens (with the exception of access to a screened-in patio) are doing a fine job of keeping in check any lizards that dare sneak in. One of their favorite things, though, is to jump up and scare the sandhill cranes that saunter over to my bird feeder on the outside of the screen.

Awww, I had a kitty, since deceased, that looked just like this one. She was a beauty. Have another beautiful cat now who owns me.
