Baloney!

Abortions are legal in California, and Border Patrol are federal officers.

This publication - Business Insider - is relentlessly anti-Trump and anti-Conservative.

According to the article, she was detained in Los Angeles Airport by immigration officials for not having the proper entry visa from Australia.

She was trying to use the Visa Waiver Program, but claims that the Australian agencies failed to supply her with the proper documents, but she traveled anyway. USA immigration officials deported her for breaching the conditions of the waiver program.

Apparently, she was coming here on a tourist waiver, but planned to be an au pair (house- and cat-sit in exchange for accommodations). The article says she was going to Canada, but it's unclear why she left the international zone at LAX if she was connecting directly. I think the Canada part was a future trip she was going to make once she got in.

Anyway, the scheme didn't work, she was planning to work, didn't have the proper paperwork and was sent back, and is now saying that the border agents were harassing her about abortions.

background facts: if you travel to Canada via the USA, you need to have a visa if your connecting flight goes through a US airport. Our granddaughter had to change flights when they discovered she didn't have one (she is Filipina). But I don't know if they are this strict with Australians.

However, if you act suspiciously, they will keep you in a transit lounge.

Maybe she has abortion drugs with her in her luggage or handbag? But usually they only check your luggage or handbag is you are acting suspiciously, as if you are smuggling drugs.

hmmm writes for far left Business Insider? I’m extremely suspicious about her story.

Which is a shame because she’s quite the comely lass from that pic.

Is there a valid reason for asking her if she’s pregnant or had an abortion? Does she look so pregnant that they think she might try to give birth during her stay?

Your post provides a better summary of the events than the article. The article repeats itself numerous times before finally telling what happened.

Side note: Is that the prettiest Redhead you’ve seen today or what?
She has the glow of youth and “fun girl” in her face.

She made up an absurd story because she - and hundreds of millions of other people - do not understand what the Roe decision means.

The states are once again free to write their own abortion legislation.

Abortion is legal in California.

Border Patrol are federal employees. They have no jurisdiction over state laws.

Interesting piece about abortion in Australia. It seems the pro-choice people there are funded by Americans.

Somebody in Canada brought somebody from Australia to cat-sit?

Has the Canadian never heard of the Rover app?

I always have had a soft spot for Ginger-haired Lasses, especially my great grand daughters.
This one also appears to be an outdoors woman . At least judging from that fish-hook she has somehow got caught in her nose.
