I live in Illinois.
I live in a county that at one time was the most republican large county in the US.
No Rats ran for office in this county.. Not no more.
We used to be somewhat of a foil vs cook county...not no more.
I live in henry hyde’s old district...solid repub...not no more.

40% of the illinois population live in cook county.
Generally, these days, as cook goes, so does illinois.

Hillary won 12 of 102 counties in 2016
Pres. Biden won 14 of 102 counties in 2018.

Illinois vote.
Joseph R. Biden, Jr. 3,471,915 57.39%
Donald J. Trump 2,446,891 40.45%

Biden by 1025024 in the state
Biden by 1167353 in cook county

I’m guessing not much or not all that can be attributed to fraud.

Pres. Trump rally was in adams county and that is huge Trump country.
adams county has a population of 65k with 33k voting in 2020 with Pres. Trump winning 72.2 vs 25.7
He should draw a large crowd.

I still don’t see where\how Pres. Trump could have won Illinois.

It’s going to be awhile before actual proof shows Illinois did not vote Democrat, and instead that Trump won.

I think Greg and Catherine have not focused on Illinois.
When they call it for the Red, I too would be thrilled but Shocked to the socks.

I imagine Cook County, IL is a lot like Delaware County, Ohio, at least the upper middle class suburban parts.

Delaware County reliably votes R down ballot and governor, although the margin is tighter the higher the office. For president, R wins too, but sometimes not by much.

The people are very wishy-washy and easily influenced. Obama did well in 08. The bloom was off the Obama rose in 12.

They get the vapors hearing about “mean tweets.” I could imagine a nice little chunk deciding at the last minute that maybe Biden was the safe, more mature option who would listen to the good doctors about Covid and masking.

Of the ones who voted for Trump, an uncomfortably large number think kids need to be vaccinated for Covid, if for no other reason so they can still go to dance class.

I think if President Trump says he won all 50 states, we should believe him. It doesn’t serve him at all to tell such a lie. He has the proof, we don’t.

20 point swing in the 6th district of Illinois from 2016 to 2018.
Total population of the district was (2019) 710,626. Total vote count 315,446. Couldn't find total registered voters. 44% of the the total population voted. Average votes out of registered voters is about 38% nation wide (except for 2020.) Either I missed something. Or this is impossible.
