Before I left Midland, my employer was looking at these formations that lie mostly East and South of Midland.
IIRC, the Wolfcamp will be a very prolific shale-oil play while the Bone Spring is an exciting (and wet*) NatGas play.
It was being compared to the Delaware Basin production in the western edge of the PB.
*Wet = high propane and butane values.
Mr. Oil/Gas guy Cletus, recently I was hearing that the way we understand oil production is not altogether true. They were saying research is showing that oil is much faster regenerating than previously thought and instead of limited supply running out, it could be regenerating. I don’t know much about the subject but I was intrigued. Maybe it was the guy from Behind the Black, Robert Zimmerman. https://behindtheblack.com/
He appears on Pratt on Texas frequently and he is very nerdy knowledgeable. Anyway, I thought you might know more about this.
