It was wonderful to see the entire Trump family walk onto the Lincoln Memorial the day before the 2017 inauguration. We were practically in the front row of spectators on the Mall because we there so early.
We came on the DC Metro, getting off at the train station. We walked to the Capitol to hear the singer practicing her rendition of our National Anthem which I recorded on my phone. She had one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard sing that difficult song. At the inauguration, there were “problems” with the PA system so she did not sound at all outstanding. IMHO, sabotage started early.
We walked the entire Mall from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. Concerned about the threats of rioters causing problems after dark, we left before the entire program was over. There were giant screens all the way along the reflecting pool so could still hear the music as we walked back to the train station by way of the White House.
Fear of the rioters was the only reason that I did not attend the inauguration. In 2001, disruptors made it unpleasant to get to the security checkpoints though they let us by them. In 2005, disruptors tried to block us from getting to the security checkpoints. I and (tens of?, hundreds of?) thousands of others did not attend Trump’s inauguration due to the very reasonable fear for personal safety. The Obama administration and the DC government did not make DC safe for Republicans.
Yes, that ceremony and concert will always be a cherished memory.

It seems that Dems either make money off of their destructive policies or live on taxpayer doles. They are the party of the elite and the dependent.
