WASHINGTON — Facebook and Instagram have begun promptly removing posts that offer abortion pills to women who may not be able to access them following a Supreme Court decision that stripped away constitutional protections for the procedure.
Such social media posts ostensibly aimed to help women living in states where preexisting laws banning abortion suddenly snapped into effect on Friday. That's when the high court overruled Roe v. Wade, its 1973 decision that declared access to abortion a constitutional right.
Memes and status updates explaining how women could legally obtain abortion pills in the mail exploded across social platforms. Some even offered to mail the prescriptions to women living in states that now ban the procedure.
Almost immediately, Facebook and Instagram began removing some of these posts, just as millions across the U.S. were searching for clarity around abortion access. General mentions of abortion pills, as well as posts mentioning specific versions such as mifepristone and misoprostol, suddenly spiked Friday morning across Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and TV broadcasts, according to an analysis by the media intelligence firm Zignal Labs.
By Sunday, Zignal had counted more than 250,000 such mentions.

Good grief
Its not like they are at all difficult to purchase.
They are as abundant as Walgreens is abundant.
Any woman who trusts an anonymous source for abortion inducing medication is an idiot.
What happened to Freedom of Speech? The cads did the same thing with Ivermectin and Hydroxychloriquin.

Winning!
Fentanyl laced RU-286 solves two “problems”.
These people are crazy.
Freedom of Speech is between citizens and the government.
The First Amendment does nothing with respect to private industry.
That said, it’s crappy.
Abortion pills are meant to kill. Comparing them to Ivermectin and Hydroxychloriquin that are used for life-saving purposes is absurd.
TBH probably a good idea.
I thought the same thing. How do they know what they’re getting?
I believe the abortion pill may be a better solution than a surgical abortion, at least after the first 3 days.
But doctors don’t make as much money just prescribing a pill or two. Also they wouldn’t be able to get near as much federal funding from tax dollars that gets funneled back to democrat campaigns. Follow the money. It’s not always what best for the woman’s health.
If any woman in America can get weed or crack or heroin or prescription drugs obtained illegally then they shouldn’t have any problem getting one or two abortion pills.
Pee on a stick. Take a pill. Easy. Are there risks? Absolutely just like any illegal drug or prescription drug.
If there is demand and money to be made then the pills will be sold legally or illegally. Supply and demand always works. No state is going to prosecute anybody for taking a pill or two and how would the state know anyway?
If it doesn’t work then travel. Why would traveling out of state be the first option when taking an abortion pill is cheaper and much more convenient.
If women are too afraid of risks then they shouldn’t have unprotected sex in the first place. Sex itself is risky. STD’s, monkeypox, AIDS, and pregnancy are all possible side effects when having sex.
Abortion advocates insist that no one is pro-abortion, but do everything they can to ensure that the most abortions possible happen, proving that they are very very pro-abortion.
