The Knickerbockers were an American group that sounded like the early Beatles. This song, "Lies" was recorded in 1965.
Sly and the Family Stone put on the best set at Woodstock.
I heard the same thing, but somehow don’t think anyone could have topped Alvin Lee that weekend.
Just starting high school when “Lies” came out - excellent song/performance but it reminded me of an ex-girlfriend.
Later, Linda Ronstadt did a pretty good cover in her “lite punk’ phase.

“Knickerbockers were a certain style of pants “
Yep. It’s where the British slang, “knickers”, for underwear, comes from. Watch almost any western and you’ll see some chick running around in her “ knickers”
Knickerbocker’s drummer Jimmy walker’s rendition is terrific on their album

Lots of celebs have spent time in Broward county jails!😆
I remember this so distinctly from when I was a kid. I thought it was cool that one of my favorite songs was on one of my favorite cartoon shows!
Fever Tree - San Francisco Girls (1968)
Houston Texas based band.
A far cry from 1969, when NYC was dubbed Jets-Mets-Knicksville as it sat atop the pro sports world.
Like the Sir Douglas Quintet out of Texas and the Buckinghams out of Chicago.
“San Francisco Girls” was a local hit in San Francisco. The first and only time I heard it on the radio was over a San Francisco station. Incidentally, fever tree is another name for the chinchona tree, which produces quinine.
