I knew at once that I was never taking that crap. Most of my coworkers did, but not all. I stopped buying that entire Pandemic story in April of 2020. It was clearly a hoax. In February of 2021 it was clear where this was going. The Flu shots had been mandatory for many years. They put little stickers on your IDs so that you can be verified in an instant regarding Flu Shot status. The vaccines were certainly going to be required in order to remain employed. I was gone before that policy was invoked at my place, which was in October.
In my department there were perhaps 50 people including Per Diems. After I left, I know of at least 9 people who left soon following. I think that it is 15 now, but I am not positive. I do not know all of their vaccine status. I do know that the hospital is desperate for new workers and they are paying a lot. Recruiters are offering a lot of money to us these days. This is happening all over the country. I can today get a job almost anywhere earning 50-100% more than I was 2 years ago.
I did not leave because of the vaccines, though I would have. My departure was coincidental. I literally was no longer able to physically do the job. It is very demanding with pretty much no down time at all. There is constant movement and never ending emergency calls for our services. We do not have desks. We have Computers on wheels. Once the Health Care people start dropping en mass, and I believe that they shall, we will likely be already well into the ‘End Times.’
I’m a nurse, too. Although I retired several years ago, I’m still in touch with a small circle of friends. This week 3 of them told me they were diagnosed with cancers. All of them vaxxed as soon as it was available.
