And perhaps there is no need for us to know anything yet. God will reveal everything in His own time, not ours. God can do whatever he wants.

Maybe exploring what appear to be legitimate examples of things like this is just another science God EXPECTS us to investigate.
(A lot of what we consider everyday technology today would have seemed to be sorcery in Bible days; and even speculating about some of today’s sciences could have gotten people locked up for heresy hundreds of years ago.)

The Bible prohibits the use of psychic mediums but it doesn’t actually prohibit being a psychic medium. I’m not sure how to take this. Read the end of THE BIBLE. It does not end well for mediums. They have no place in heaven.
