DICK’S Sporting Goods Will Not Say if It Will Offer $4K to Employees Who Refuse to Terminate Their Pregnancies

DICK’S Sporting Goods announced it will offer up to $4,000 in travel expenses for employees who decide to terminate their pregnancies and must go out of state to do so, but will not say if the company also plans to reward pregnant employees who choose to have their babies rather than get an abortion.

Following the news of the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision overruling Roe v. Wade, which kicked decisions about abortion laws back to the states, the company announced that it would reimburse up to $4,000 in travel expenses to employees who would have to go out of state to get an abortion.

“While we do not know what decision each state will make in response to this ruling, we at DICK’S Sporting Goods are prepared to ensure that all teammates have consistent and safe access to the benefits we provide, regardless of the state in which you live,” an email from Ed Stack and CEO Lauren Hobart read:

Anyone who isn’t totally stoked by the decision to overturn RvW is literally a worshiper of Satan.

I guess you'd have to count me as one of those not "totally stoked by the decision to overturn RvW".
I am certainly pleased, but there is an inherent and very sick problem with our Country where many people 'celebrate' infanticide. This ripping of the children out of the womb is an abomination to God. In Jeremiah 32:35 says that the actions of sacrificing children to false idols (in this case, Molech. In our case, the false idol of 'convenience') is so odious a thought that it never even entered into His mind.
But yet, many in this Country still call these crimes a 'right'.

So yes, it is good that the Court ruled correctly (God help us if they had ruled otherwise. Spitting into God's eye - is never a good idea), but I am not overjoyed due to the fact that a large number of people in this Country have a deep sickness in their souls where they justify infanticide. And this ruling did not cure that disease.
We have a long ways to go to change hearts.

4K Per - maybe file a phoney claim once a quarter = 16K per year on top of whatever they’re paid and they will be out of business within two years….or they will stop hiring women and men who think they can get pregnant.

It’s cheaper to pay $4k for an abortion than to pay for maternity leave

And can men (aka birthing persons) also apply for this $4K?

The Dobbs decision about the 15 week time limit for Mississippi was 6-3, with Roberts joining the conservatives.

The also voted to overturn Roe v. Wade separately. That ruling was 5-4 with Roberts joining the liberals and voting not to overturn Roe.

So it depends which one you are talking about.

I don’t care about the 6-3 decision about Mississippi’s 15 week limit, because once you overturn Roe, it is all bets are off and all of the states can go back to the drawing board and exclusively pass laws regarding abortion.

The Federal Government now has no power to regulate abortion in any way. It is strictly a state rights issue.

So technically Mississippi got their more restrictive time limit, but in all reality they will probably ban abortion outright now.

I don’t see how a reimbursement program can be discriminatory since a male employees dependent or spouse who gets pregnant will have access to the same reimbursement program.

It's an elective procedure that is only available to women which makes it discriminatory as well as taxable.

A company paying for breast implants would quickly find itself involved in lawsuits from male employees.

No they would offer the benefits to a male employees partner and dependents that covers equal access as long as they were members of his healthcare plan at work.

You can write off breast argumentation there is a form for it. If the person is in an industry where appearance is a factor of employment. I have know and help a number of “model actresses” write off argumentation. Strippers can write them off too , so can waitresses at “breasturants”

Good luck getting a civil jury to award discrimination if the company also offers it to a male employees partner and dependents you will need it.

I was also confused, keeping reading articles saying vote was 6-3, then 5-4. If I understand correctly, the vote to uphold the Mississippi law was 6-3, the vote to overturn Roe was 5-4.

Yeah no kidding.

Well this should be a huge reminder.

I stopped going there just over 10 years ago when they removed their black rifles to make a statement, then the rest of their firearms shortly after.

Most corporate employees now get massive maternity and paternity benefits. let alone healthcare for the expanded family. The $4k option is a cheap way out.

I’ve been thinking of the amount of children killed everyday which has me thinking that a lot more children will be born into families that don’t want them.

There will be abuse, neglect and further evil like we may not have ever seen.

These evil people will use contraception or abstinence like we expect criminals to throw down their weapons.

But also if God calls upon the red states (well, the red areas as I don’t believe God really cares about state lines but more what the people in them are doing) then it’s almost as if the south will be picking up a lot more population.

There is a chance that within 20 years the US could look like a Korean situation with people in the north living under a hellish nightmare-scape.

I really think we need to start thinking about adoption services and treatment for the younger people who will now be born into these evil people’s lives.
