There’s a reason they’re only $129.99

I don’t like them either. I would take a $250 Ruger Wrangler over the Heritage any day.

Lately I’ve been thinking about getting an old Remington “Nylon 66” .22 cal rifle and having it restored by my local gunsmith. I used to have a lot of fun with that gun half a century ago. I think it would still be an excellent survival tool.

Many years ago, when my middle son was in college, I gave him my original n”Nylon 66, and he rebuilt it himself. He told me that he took it to the range and that it was extremely popular with the shooters, and exhibited no problems.

I’ll swap you my Stoeger Condor over-and-under shotgun. That thang stanks. Top barrel never fires.

A heritage Roughrider?

I lost all my firearms in a boating accident years ago. But before then I usually sticked with the name brands. Colt, Remington, Smith & Wesson. I did buy an Armalite rifle once. The thing jammed all the time. No great loss when it fell overboard.

I know that doesn’t help your problem. Just sayin’.

I had one of those back in the 1960s. Excellent rifle. Thousands of rounds and never a jam or miss-fire. I wish I hadn't sold it back in the early 70s.

That’s awful man. Unfortunately, they are junk. After three trips back to the factory, I’d be at the gun store asking them to take it back and but the money you’re wife paid towards a quality revolver. The Ruger Wrangler mentioned above is a very basic, spartan firearm, but you can KNOW you can always count on Ruger quality and customer service.

I made the mistake of buying a Jennings .380 for $110 new. The received cracked.

I sold it to the gullible City of Baltimore gun buyback for $200.

Idiots

you can send the firearm back as many times as you want. They don’t do refunds.

Convert it to a match lock.

A review I read said that was a problem with lighter loads.

I've actually had good luck with Heritage.

I have one with a 4-inch barrel, and the "Barkeep" model with a 2-inch barrel that I converted to a bird's head grip.

Both work well with .22lr and .22WMR cylinders. Fun little plinkers.

I had a Bryco...same thing...box was actually Jennings, slide roll-marked Bryco 59, .40 S&W was crosshatched out and 9 mm was added. Even the 9 beat that blowback action to death. I think ownership of the design eventually went to Jiminez Arms, and they were sued out of existence.

You can get a charter arms .38 snub for around $330. Good quality, effective and wont break the bank. Ignore the semiauto and calibre snobs.

Yeah, it is something about the recoil setting the second trigger. I’ve tried all the “YouTube” fixes but have not sent it back to factory.
