I like guys who win.

I voted for Trump twice, and I’m a lawyer and I played a small role in his challenge to the results. My question for this board is: why shouldn’t we pick a winner? Trump lost. He lost the election and he lost, pathetically, in the post-election challenges. He lost those legal challenges before Trump-appointed judges as well Bush appointees, Obama appointees, and Clinton appointees.

He’s persuaded 40-something percent of the country but not matter what he does, he cannot – can not – persuade more people. He has not done so and will not do so. It may suck, but it’s a fact.

We have to be grownups and face that fact.

To quote Trump himself, speaking about McCain – “he lost. So I never liked him much after that, because I don't like losers."

Don’t we need a winner -- someone who can actually get elected? The principles we espouse – belief in private property, in the right to bear arms, belief in the biology of the human race (XX= female, XY = male); respect for religion; belief in American exceptionalism – these are principles that most Americans believe in. If Trump espouses those principles and can’t get to, never mind above, 50%, don’t we need to pick someone who can?

You’ll say the election was stolen and that we can’t prevent that from happening again unless the crime is unmasked and punished.

Assuming your premise, just ask yourself this: is Trump able to get the crime punished? Really? The answer, you know it, is “no.”

You’ll say it’s because the other side is corrupt and they cheat. I agree with you. We need someone who can DEFEAT them at that game. Trump has proven that he cannot do so. He is what he called McCain: a loser. He lost. He has no way to unlose, because 50% of the country hates his guts and would sooner vote for Mickey Mouse. You may think that’s ridiculous, but you do not have the legal power to make them vote for your guy instead. It just isn’t going to happen.

We’re the grownups. We have to face facts and deal with facts. Just as half the country supported slavery in 1865, so half the country supports slavery now. We have to have a leader who can LEAD those people to a better place. Ronald Reagan could do that.

We should find a leader who can actually LEAD people to that place. That means not only people like us, who already support these principles, but people who can be PERSUADED to support them.

Trump can not do that. He can’t. He doesn’t have the ability to do it.

The New Yorker, which I know all Freepers read religiously and believe every word it says, has an article up savaging DeSantis. As the National Review points out, the article can’t avoid saying he’s very smart, works very hard, is committed to conservative principles. And he wins elections. And he would win in a walk against Brandon. Shouldn’t we be smart and pick, or at least start looking for, a winner?

He didn't lose. That IS the point. And, Dinesh D'Souza's 2000 Mules has proven that.

He got 12 million more votes than he did in 2016, more legitimate votes than anyone running in history.

I question every single thing you wrote here if you're denying election fraud occurred in the last election.

True that (see my tagline). Nevertheless, Freeper John Adams makes a fair point by wondering why Trump was not better prepared for it. Maybe Trump was too optimistic. Or maybe Trump did try to prepare for the cheat, but was overwhelmed. I dunno. But I do that the GOP nominee in 2024 had damn well better be ready for anything.

“You’ll say it’s because the other side is corrupt and they cheat. I agree with you. We need someone who can DEFEAT them at that game.”

Lost me right there. You lost me because, before I am a Republican, I am a Constitutionalist. Yes, that means I believe and support the Constitution and the Republic. No independent issue can come before a working Constitution, Bill of Rights, and a Republic based upon rule of Law. Without that, it is all ashes. The concept you put forth is Ruling over the ashes is better than working to support a Republic. There is no Republic without free and fair voting for representation, and a working Constitution.

So, by your own logic, applying my standards, Trump is your leader. Because he represents the Republic, the Constitution, and free and fair representation, and his RE-ELECTION is the best and fastest way to ensure those principles are restored. You freely admit that Trump lost court challenges, in the short time afforded him between election night and Jan 6th, because he was a looser. That’s asking much from people with limited resources and a non-working DOJ and FBI.

By the way, I don’t have to personally like Trump, enjoy his tweets, or agree with all of his decisions to understand he did more to help Americans than any other President since Ronald Reagan. Trump is the kind of loser we need.

“At the end of the day. Trump is just too old. It’s as simple as that. His time has passed.”

Donald Trump will be 78 on election day 2024. His remarkable energy level makes him seem much younger. It’s impossible to know how long that can last.

Those who think he’s no longer an option should tell us who they want to run, as you are doing in your tagline.

By comparison Biden is 79 now and is in mental decline. He’s always been kind of a buffoon even in his prime. And he’s obviously not in charge of his own administration.

Your argument is one of the RINO arguments of old - vote for the most conservative that can win.

But who decides who “can” win? Typically it’s establishment types and they use that line to push their own choice.

I say the ticket is Trump & DeSantis. I think DeSantis can learn some more business sense from Trump and be able to take over after him.

And per you point on leading, Trump would be able to learn some more political saavy from DeSantis. That’s the only thing Trump was missing - he couldn’t sniff out who was stabbing him in the back. He should’ve fired ALL appointees day one.

They had to manufacture MILLIONS of votes to steal the election.

I found something interesting the other day with my Obama Vote Fraud Detector method.

Someone was asking about the 81 million "votes", and I put up one of my tables showing which states the Biden "votes" totally blew away the record Obama 2008 votes.

Note Wisconsin in this table (purple line is where they started backing off on manufacturing BidenVotesRegistered).

SOOOOOO - Wisconsin was only able to "turn out" 97 percent of Obama's record 2008 vote.

But, but - Wisconsin was a Hub And Center of open and notorious vote fraud activity in 2020, with more and more coming out every day:

ALL THIS, and Basement Biden only got 1,630,866 "votes", where Obama got 1,677,211 votes in 2008...

One wonders what went on in the states where "Biden voters" poured out of the basements to beat Obama's record 2008 totals by 125%, 135%, 149% and 162%...

He lost those legal challenges before Trump-appointed judges as well Bush appointees, Obama appointees, and Clinton appointees.

Completely true. Which means either: 1) he appointed the wrong people as judges: 2) the cases he brought weren't legally string enough to succeed, or 3) the entire system is so corrupt that he was sure to lose.

I'm sure a lot in this thread would believe it is 3), but the problem is that is completely nihilistic. If you truly believe that, then it doesn't matter who we nominate in 2024 because we're guaranteed to lose anyway. Since there's no point in even having these discussions if that is the case, it doesn't make sense to act in the belief that 3) is true. Again, completely true. There are some who like to delude themselves into believing if they stamp their feet enough times, enough other people will magically change their positions. That's not reality. If enough people are convinced by now that Biden is an illegitimate president, that isn't going to change.

No one on this planet was going to beat Biden in 2020.

As it happened, it was by the Grace of God and some decent strategy and a little luck, too, that Donald J. Trump beat Hillary in 2016.

And that changed more than a few plans and timetables, too, but since 2020, “they” have recovered and advanced.

And, if the republicans don’t win BIG in November, I wouldn’t bet that we’re even America anymore by 2024, no matter who is running for President.

Apart from some fraud, which obviously did exist at some level, the change in voting rules made it much easier for people to vote in 2020 then in any prior election. The Democrat get-out-the-vote machine hit poor neighborhoods hard to get people to vote absentee who would never voted before.

Yes, there was fraud. There also was a concerted Democrat effort to use the new rules to their advantage to get additional legal votes as well, and the core problem is that it is impossible in most cases to prove which is which to a legal degree of certainty.

I am genuinely not sure. I said that he counted on people that did not deliver. Republican Secretaries of State. Republican legislatures. Republican governors.

I am not the president. I don’t have his means at my disposal. But I did see disarray and lack of organization and preparedness. Perhaps nothing could have been done?

There were high expectations floated for Jan 6. I certainly thought there was a plan to get things honest. The people destroyed and still languishing in prison concern me.

Just saying I am a supporter but I don’t think he is always right and am not hysterical about it. The best reason for really pushing him as a candidate is to rectify the banana republic sham that was our November 2020 election IMO.
