Tatum struggled in the NBA Finals, averaging 3.8 turnovers in 6 games
There’s a lot to criticize about Jayson Tatum’s performance in the 2022 NBA Finals. During the six Finals games, Tatum averaged just 21.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.8 rebounds. He also averaged 3.8 turnovers per game, even though his regular season career average is 2.1.
Needless to say, those stats are underwhelming and ultimately didn’t get the job done as the Celtics lost the series 4-2. However, former Warriors guard Nick Young didn’t mention any of that in his tweet throwing shade at Tatum. Instead, Young called Tatum out for his skin color. Take a look:
SNIP
We’re not even sure what that means. Did Tatum have a few off games because of his pigmentation? Have those with "light skin colors" historically underperformed in major athletic competitions? Is Young taking a page from the Biden playbook and telling Tatum he "ain’t black"?

Racism: It’s not just a White Man’s game anymore.
Colorism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discrimination_based_on_skin_color) has a long and interesting history in the US and around the world.
Light-skinned blacks in the US have been higher on the “pecking order” than dark-skinned blacks.
The dark-skinned blacks are finally getting tired of it.
Grab the popcorn!
A lot of these personal jabs and snippy insults would have been confined to the Locker Room or the nearest Bar before Twitter. People seem to forget, what you post is not just visible in your private journal. It’s now displayed for whoever cares to take a peek.
He was probably making a mildly mean little joke, but people tend to dissect and evaluate everything nowadays.
First it was Biden: “You ain’t black.”
Now it’s: You ain’t black/dark enough.”
Their race-baiting is old, worn and expired. The only people that give a sh!t are black people, politicians, reporters, virtue-signaling Karens, and Hollywood types. That’s less than 10% of the population, but they want us to believe they are the majority. It won’t work. The rest of us have moved on and don’t care anymore.
Meh.
Semi-white man can’t jump???? (s)
“Light-skinned blacks in the US have been higher on the “pecking order” than dark-skinned blacks”
Yep this nothing new....just most whites aren’t aware of it....why? BECAUSE WE DON’T THINK ABOUT RACE 24/7
Blacks, racist within their own race......and they wonder why many white folks hesitate to accept them.
Jayson Tatum has a blacker name, so be beats Nick Young on that.
Young’s true racism comes out.
Hes not alot darker than Tatum.
So how does he explain Stephen Curry?
Those African Americans can sure be snarky sometimes. uh huh.
Many years ago there was a song written by a light-skinned, thin-lipped, Cuban black man named, “Bemba Colora.” There is no direct translation for that song name but I interpret it as being, “Big, liver lips,” and the intent of the song is, “Your big, red lips.” It is about the big, red lips of a dark-skinned, big-lip black man. The song is ridiculing the dark man. That song is/was Celia Cruz’s theme song which she performed originally with Tito Puente. She was very black.
I also know that there are many light-skinned, black people in the Dominican Republic who are the offspring of blacks and Caucasians. They hate both the dark blacks AND the Caucasians! They think that they are ‘special.’
What a screwed up world we live in, huh? ;-)
A cording to leftards, POC can’t be racist because the white man holds the power.
Of course they are lying sacks of turds.
Jayson Tatum
Stephen Curry is whiter than Larry Bird.
