Funny, McCartney is much more cogent and a heck of a lot sharper than Dementia Joe, even with both of them around the same age.

For me personally, REVOLVER was the Beatles best, most innovative album in terms of range of musical styles, diverse sounds, and lyrical content.

It contained some of the most unforgettable songs like:

Eleanor Rigby
Here, There and Everywhere
For No One

and the satirical song which is still applicable to Democrats : TAXMAN

Saw Sir Paul and Linda many years ago. After sitting through a Vegan short PSA I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Happy Birthday, Dude.

My son, who's 50 y/o, went to McCartney's concert in Syracuse a couple of weeks ago.
McCartney performed for almost three hours and my son said it was the best concert he's ever seen.

80 years old - wow!

That was two days ago. That being said...Happy Birthday Sir Paul! Today is Brian Wilson’s birthday - he is also 80.

The utter dreck of "Ebony And Ivory" and "The Girl Is Mine" aside, Paul did put out by far the best catalog post-Beatles in my opinion.

I just heard "Listen to What The Man Said" a few days ago and it brought back such fond memories from 1975. That song was coming out of every car radio during that summer.

Still love the “Ram” album, when Paul still had the right mix of pop and avant-garde.

Emerson Fittipaldi, the champion Formula 1 racer, says George came to faith in Jesus before he died. Harrison had adopted Hindu beliefs for many years.

My BFF, another close friend and I saw Wings at RFK Stadium in DC in the late 80s. Like most, if not all people at the concert, we were there to see Paul McCartney.

We had to listen to a very short anti-meat statement at the beginning and there was no meat sold at any of the concession stands (we ate at a restaurant before the concert), but otherwise, it was a great show.

We couldn’t help but notice that everyone stayed rooted in their seats during the Beatles songs (and there were many, much to our delight) and went to the restroom or concessions during the Wings songs. LOL

Beatle mania memorabilia is losing demand and value as the boomers age out. Earlier this hear I sold a great collection of it my sister accumulated in real time while it happened between 1963-1970. Got $120 for it when 15-20 years ago it would have brought $500.

This is about the piece of Scottish land he bought with Linda after the Beatles. Musically, it's a bit trite; but I love the video and pipers:

When the Beatles cross Abbey Road I was there... I had just finished painting the crosswalk and I needed someone to cross over to show how good a job I had done and I motioned to these hippies to walk across. I snapped some keepsake photos…..
