Very unexpected. 1/6 cmte announces a hearing for Tuesday at 1 pm et. This was not expected. The cmte was planning to be dark this week since Congress was out of session. The next hearing was supposed to come the week of July 11.

Republicans should, at least, broadcast as widely as possible that Congressmen and their staffs have constitutionally protected immunity from prosecution or even being legally questioned about ANYTHING they say in the Capitol. Most people do not know this. The committee are lying with impunity and immunity. Then the media quotes them without challenge. It is sickening.

Inflation is hitting America’s middle class particularly hard, BofA finds
The middle class is hurting the most because of their “greater wallet share” in two main industries — motor fuel and automobiles. These industries constituted 12.6% of combined spending among middle-income households, according to BofA.
According to the CPI report, the biggest inflation was seen in motor fuel with prices up nearly 50% YoY in May. Similarly, prices for new and used vehicles were also up a strong 14% YoY.
