There are no stories I’ve seen that Uvalde Chief Daniel Rodriguez was in charge of anything.

Leadership matters the most. You can’t buy leadership. Nor does it come with affirmative action or virtue signaling. Was Peter Arredondo the best person for the job or was he someone’d idea of equity and social justice? Doubt that question will ever be answered or even asked.
