Father of Uvalde Shooter: ‘I Don’t Want Them Calling Him a Monster… They Don’t Know Nothing’
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 5/28/2022 | Cassandra Fairbanks

The father of the 18-year-old who shot and killed 19 students and two teachers at an Uvalde elementary school after shooting his grandmother in the face has apologized for his sons actions — but demanded “I don’t want them calling him a monster.” Salvador Ramos Sr. told the Daily Beast on Thursday, “I just want the people to know I’m sorry man, [for] what my son did.”

The 42-year-old admitted that he had not seen his son in some time due to his fears about being exposed to COVID-19. He said that his son became frustrated with his COVID concerns about a month ago and stopped speaking to him.

“I never expected my son to do something like that,” Ramos continued. “He should’ve just killed me, you know, instead of doing something like that to someone.”

Ramos told the outlet that he was working when his mother called him to tell him what was going on. He called the local jail looking for his son, before realizing what had happened.

“They killed my baby man,” he said. “I’m never gonna see my son again, just like they’re not gonna see their kids. And that hurts me.”

The Daily Beast reports that “Ramos insisted that his son was ‘a good person’ who ‘stuck to himself.'”

The father of the killer said that he wished his son had just shot him instead.

“My mom tells me he probably would have shot me too, because he would always say I didn’t love him,” he said.

The seemingly MIA parent blamed his son’s reportedly drug-addicted mother Adriana Reyes for not buying him more clothes. He said that he was often bullied at school for wearing the same pants every day. The father was, apparently, not concerned enough to buy him some himself.

“I don’t want them calling him a monster… they don’t know nothing, man,” he said. “They don’t know anything he was going through.”

The killer’s mother also made excuses for the monster she helped create.

In a Spanish-language interview she asked the public not to “judge” him because he “had his reasons.”

“I have no words. I have no words to say. I don’t know what he was thinking,” Reyes told CNN affiliate Televisa. “He had his reasons for doing what he did and please don’t judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me.”

Asked by the reporter what she would say to the victim’s families, Reyes said: “Forgive me. Forgive my son. I know he had his reasons.”

When asked what possibly reason he could have had, Reyes said “to get closer to those children instead of paying attention to the other bad things, I have no words. I don’t know.”

Buried within this report are glimpses at answers to some of the >100 questions which remain for this tragedy, yet glaring questions remain:

How did he buy weapons, magazines, ammunition and tactical gear if his own family couldn't afford to buy him more clothes?

What effect did familial 'COVID fear' have upon the psyche of this clearly deviant teen?

What effect did over a year of virus lockdown have upon his mental well being?

Is this tragedy a symptom of a much larger problem among the other victims of the government lockdowns, children?

What effect did the school virus protocols have upon facilitating his mental decline?

On analysis of his family's reaction to this tragedy, from one perspective it's easy to draw the conclusion that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. As an extension of ridiculous logical analysis of this tragedy, perhaps the anti-abortion nature of Texas is to blame for facilitating his birth in the first place?

In other news, they have claimed that this teen was NOT the same subject who threatened school violence 4 years prior, yet we know that he threatened violence against a school and the fact remains that 'fact-checking' protocols of 'big brother' are far more effective at quashing narrative dissent than mitigating violent acts.

Another conclusion to be drawn is that the latter seems to be with intent.

We now know that a teacher propped open a normally-locked door used by the subject to gain entry...

If the penalty for a mentally-ill criminal using a firearm to commit murder is to punish the law abiding, what penalty will be levied for those who:

Fail to make a criminal database entry? Fail to file a report which would flag a potentially violent, mentally ill individual? Fail to LOCK A DAMNED DOOR?

I maintain that this pandemic has been misrepresented. The real effect of the pandemic is STUPID, but there's one overarching problem:

There are not enough prison beds to house all those on the left for whom new laws against 'stupid' would affect.

Thus preventing another Uvalde tragedy becomes wholly academic...and explains why they're coming after our guns. /s

It’s not hard for a young adult with a job to qualify for a credit card nowadays. I don’t think he was particularly concerned about making payments.

“had his reasons”

smh

I wish we could throw parents in jail for the crimes their children do. Because it’s nearly always a failure of parenting.

Yep, I concluded the same thing. Got a credit card and charged it all, knowing he would never have to pay it off.

They should have shot him earlier. Blow his ugly head off and 19 kids would be alive today.

Kid was a tranny. IOW, mentally ill. Father abandoned him due to his irrational fear of covid. Someone propped open a normally locked door? What a coincidence. This shooting was enabled obviously at someone’s request. Whose?

We’re all guilty of speculation, myself included.

But NOBODY at 18 with a ‘zero’ credit score nets a credit limit sufficient to buy what he possessed.

These interviews of a parent of a killer such as this are always problematic and show the parent in the worst light. In the aftermath of a son or daughter doing such a thing, what parent doesn’t, in part, revert to the protective feather or mother that cherishes a child? I know that I can never be driven apart from my sons and like this idiot father I might say something equally stupid.

Four years from now, his reflections would have balance — today none anticipated.

Yes, indeed.

I haven’t read anywhere that his credit score was ‘zero’; is that fact or speculation? I also think it’s quite possible his grandmother or another adult cosigned on his credit card application.

When I turned 18 I had people throwing credit cards at me. Really ran up that gas card.

I can’t comprehend such a reaction.

If I was one such parent, my reaction would shock many, and I certainly would NEVER be quoted as cited.

But then again, I’m one who’s quick on the ethics draw and wear a backplate specifically for some of my ‘FRiends’...and will turn cold on a dime at the slightest ethical or moral deviation.

Perhaps we need more laws to combat pantywaste reactions to deviancy /s but, as I’ve cited, there aren’t enough prison beds for all those on the left.

Are the parents illegals?

If so, the entire clan needs to be repatriated to their sh!thole country.

Any family whose member/members break the law - murder, theft, rape - everyone needs to go.

What a stupid comment. Scratch a pro-abortionist and find a eugenicist animal.

A ‘dirt poor’ 18-year-old is speculated to have secured credit cards to make his purchases?

C’mon, man.

Yep- I am doubtful the name of the person who ‘supposedly’ left the door open while there is a reported shooting nearby will ever be released.

this sounds planned.

When it was stated : How many more school kids will have to be shot and killed before guns are taken away - it wasn’t a question.
