The Vikings are coming... again! In 2014 we followed on from the success of Pompeii Live with another live broadcast- this time from the exhibition Vikings: life and legend. Here is that broadcast, presented by Bettany Hughes and Michael Wood, featuring the largest Viking warship ever found, Roskilde 6 along with interviews with Viking scholars from across the world. Michael and Bettany explore the viking world from the homelands to its farthest reaches, Viking ship craft, trading, warfare and religion are brought to life through the spectacular objects that were brought together for this blockbuster exhibition.

The Vale of York Viking Hoard
Are they singing the Spam song?

We probably should look for viking wrecks in the mighty rivers of British Columbia.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Green Midget Cafe in Bromley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g00NplDnLLQ
See post 8.
It's got that dopey "reality TV" production, but still interesting and a lot of fun, and doesn't lag.
The guys explore the banks of a river in Buckinghamshire where Gordon once found an unusual coin, hoping to find more ancient treasures.
Each week, metal 'detectorists' Gordon and Gary, who between them have discovered some of Britain's most amazing treasure hoards take on a fresh challenge at a new location, full of potential! They will be heading to sites where previous hoards have been found in an attempt to salvage what may have been left behind and maybe even find a whole new hoard. Not forgetting Mike who will be carrying out some historical digging of his own, trying to figure out who buried each original hoard and why. Gary and Gordon's journey will take them across the UK, as they head off to the sites where they think historical artifacts are most likely to be lurking. With state-of-the-art equipment, technical prowess and a proven track record will give the boys an edge over other searchers but will their treasure-hunting quest be fulfilled? And will Mike be able to accomplish some successful metaphorical excavating of his own?Unusual Coins Found In Old English River | Hoard Hunters
