"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.

The gist of Devolution is that most of government power has been devolved to the seven regional combat commanders, and four functional combat commanders.
The civilian government is a facade, a puppet government of the ChiComs, still robbing the Treasury, messing up the society, but they don't control the military.

In such a case, I fully support his capture and intensive interrogation for whatever info he has to that effect, by whatever means necessary and available:
