Happy Sunday All...
I’m wondering if there’s a Marine theme tonight...am liking the interview with Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes...Men At Sea...and Lux with Pride of the Marines...
How’s it going?
Hi, Vision! I’d almost like to hear that Conan Doyle interview, too, since I’ve read all his Sherlock Holmes stories, but just can’t deal with this show. Anyway...
We’re just waiting on some rain that’s been supposed to be here for a couple of days. How’s it going with you?
Evening, folks.
Friday night went to Marine Corps Parade at the DC Barracks which is also home to the Marine Corps Commandant. It was pretty cool. The site was selected by Thomas Jefferson since it was close to the Navy Yard, and the Commandant's House is beautiful. It's the oldest inhabited building in DC. Built in 1802 and for some reason was spared during the War of 1812 when the British burned the city.
Good Evening. How are you holding up?
Oh, that sounds cool! Not the temperatures, the Marine Corp outing.
Hi, Viking. How’re you and Mrs. Viking doing? I hope she got better.
I’m holding up OK. She’s out, and off work until at least next Friday. She’s taking her meds and is scheduled for an echocardiogram shortly.
Okay, Viking. Thanks for the update, and please let us know how it goes when you can.
