West is not very good at politics so he might as well. His followers can now have a bone thrown their way.
Nobody should be the CEO forever, change is good. The longer politicians or CEO’s stay, the longer they have to institute fraud and bad policy.
If West assumes this mantle, I will consider rejoining the NRA. As for now, no way on earth.
West might be able to shake things back into place that have been shifting. I say yes to West.
Wishful thinking. Only the NRA Board can replace LaPierre with West or anyone else, and LaPierre owns the board (or the vast majority of it.)
LaPierre is why I no longer give money to the NRA.
L
Boy do I regret ever giving my home phone # to Wayne LaPierre.
I dropped my NRA membership because of LaPierre.
While I think Wayne Lapierre needs to go, replacing him with Allen West would be a very, very bad move. As a life member, I think they need strong, committed 2nd amendment businessman, not a personality with controversial past, likely to be a distraction from NRA’s mission and challenges, many that Wayne Lapierre and his cronies created.
My dad had Wayne figured out 35 years ago.
The article mentions that Wayne Lapierre’s salary for one month is more than the average American’s yearly salary.
That seems like a lot of money. Anybody know LaPierre’s salary?
FReepmail me if you want to be added to or deleted from the list.

LaPierre would be much better, if only he could afford some nicer suits.
When the NRA-paid solicitors call, I tell them not another dime until WLP is gone. BTW I’m an endowment member and have given life memberships to family members in the past.
Wayne just has too much baggage at this point. It’s time for him to move on.
I have confidence in Mr. West.
Wayne, not even a little.
Wayne LaPierre has run the NRA into the ground. When they endorsed Harry Reid in 2010, they lost me.
It’s time for LaPierre to go. He has been in that position for far too long.
I like Wayne but the NRA became a country club under his watch. Time to get back to the uncomfortable job of defending the 2nd.
Manchin Gives Democrats a Reality Check on Gun Control - Truth Press
You going to register knives?
While some Democrats want action on a universal background check bill that passed the House in March last year, the West Virginia moderate has previously said that bill goes too far because it would extend to private transactions, such as those between neighbors, hunting buddies, or even family. The Manchin-Toomey bill exempted those transactions.
