My Picks For Tomorrow's Idaho Primary

After some extensive research into all the candidates that are running for statewide offices, and for my district in Idaho, these are the candidates I am voting for tomorrow. If you live in other districts, you will have to do a little extra research to see which candidate is best. In future primaries I may do more local districts, but for now this took long enough.

  1. Governor ---------------- Janet McGeachin

  2. US Senator -------------- Scott Trotter

  3. US House ---------------- Russ Fulcher

  4. Lieutenant Governor ------ Priscilla Giddings

  5. Attorney Generaal -------- Raul Labrador

  6. Secretary of State ------- Dorothy Moon

  7. Treasurer ---------------- Julie Ellsworth

  8. Controller ---------------- Brandon Woolf

  9. Super of Schools --------- Debbie Critchfield

  10. State Senate (dist 9) ------ Jim Rice

  11. State House (dist 9A) ----- Jacyn Gallagher

  12. State House (dist 9B) ---- Judy Boyle

As Christian conservative, I hold to some very staunch old fashioned ideas. As such, I do not suffer fools much. So, when it comes to politicians I seldom give them a second chance to do the wrong thing. If you want to run for office, you better be honest, and up front about what you believe. I do not want some politician with evolving beliefs, or one who does not walk what they talk. Which can really be difficult for an incumbent politician to get my vote again if, after they won, they went against the things they ran on. That being said, there are only a few incumbent candidates I am supporting. The only reason I am supporting an incumbent is because they either have no challenger, two incumbants are running against each other, or because the others are so bad that I am forced to hold my nose in the booth.

Good thing about the internet is that those who desire to get elected are the same people who are always telling everyone what they believe. This can make it difficult to hide from your past. After all, you don't see any introverts running for office. So with some extensive investigation, I have whittled my candidates down to the above. Are they all perfect? NO, but the one's I chose are better then the others. Some of my choices were made easy, because there are so many intrenched establishment types running the state of Idaho that their voting record is easy to smell.

I was quite shocked when I finished to see making my list, because I ended up choosing more women than I did men. However, in today's World there are a lot of men who are so afraid to take a stance on the hot button issues that, when a Momma Bear type comes along, I would rather give her a chance. I mean, what is so difficult about slamming the anti-Christian, anti-American, anti-Capitalist, anti-Family, anti-2nd Amendment, commies, and doing what you say you will do?

This last election should have opened a lot of eyes in Idaho, because neither the Governor, either US Senator, nor the US Representatives from Idaho stood up to defend Trump in the great steal of 2019. Even at the state level, fewer than a dozen or so politicians stood up for Trump. Yet now almost everyone of them acts like they support MAGA. Well sorry Charlie, that boat has left the dock and is sailing away. Following in a canoe now is not the kind of support Trump and America needs. Either you are on board the ship, or you will be plowed over like a PT Boat in the Pacific.

So this is my list, if anyone from Idaho has a problem, please give me some substantive information to change my mind, because tomorrow morning when the polls open, my wife and I will be voting for these candidates.

It’s time for Simpson to go. Total wimp and useless. The state house of reps is mostly ok. The state senate has a huge RINO problem and most of those clowns need to be voted out.

I appreciate your effort on this. I have thought that this is an exceptionally important primary. Trump is clearly outside of the RINO GOPe and needs a Congress that would make a second term for him meaningful. His endorsement, I felt, offered a way to buck the protectionism the party offers its RINOs in primaries and bring in MAGA candidates.

I have been unhappy with Crapo in the Senate and would love to see him primaried. So, of course, Trump has endorsed him. Oh, well. I expect him to sail through with fractured opposition. I guess Trump likes a Republican Senator who supports an illegitimate President.

Thank you for sharing your diligent work about your upcoming election choices in Idaho. Also, it was a smart thing to put in parenthesis the district number. I found a similar and almost 100 % matching list from Gem State Patriot 2022 GOP Primary Endorsements Good work from you, thanks.

I prefer Durst to Critchfield or Ybarra. Critchfield is not fully supportive of school choice.

In my investigation I found a glaring problem with Durst, but now I cannot think of it. If I do I’ll let you know. Critchfields problem with school choice had more to do with the plan that was put before her I. A question

She wants parents to have complete control of where they send their children, and if I remember right, the plan she was presented to respond to, gave more control to the state than it does the parents.

It was more or less a gotcha question to get a specific response they wanted so they could then nail her on the answer without offering the question, to those hearing her response, that she was asked

Be careful because she is an anti establishment candidate and thus they are doing all they can to means the outsider antiestablishment candidates look bad

Good list. My folks did some research and we will be consulting with them this morning before heading to the polls. I would guess that their list matches yours, with the exception of the local reps, of course.

I think we’re in a pretty anti-incumbent mood as well, for the same reasons you listed.

Lauren McLean is a communist witch. That is NOT hyperbole.

I think I saw Jacyn Gallagher standing out on the highway waving at motorists yesterday.

What part of California are you from?

I am a 3rd generation Californian (from the Bay Area) but we left in 1994. Spent some time in New Mexico, and here in Idaho since 2006.

Chico, about 90 Miles North of Sacramento off I-99.

Lived there for over 30 years. We left after the town of paradise burned down and displaced 20,000 people. The fire came within 8 miles of our home. So we packed up and. moved to Idaho.

She publicized the name of the victim, which is in extremely poor taste, at the very least. For me, it calls her character and judgement into question.
