I'm sure that I'm not alone one this. I am set to be interviewed by a reputable aerospace company. Their job posting states the following: "All prospective, newly hired, and/or onboarding employees must receive the COVID-19 vaccination in full prior to their start date with ULA. Vaccination is required as a condition of employment, unless otherwise exempted by approved reasonable accommodation."
How do I get around this?
That’s what they have done for decades.
As all the medical people who question the vaxes say. Is it worth the risk? If not find better work.
Fascism made businesses jump through legal hoops and provide monies to the favored party to keep every aspect of business under the full control of the government, at the favored party’s whim. It was mafia control at every possible level.
Please tell us how Florida is playing a mafia role, here.
Do note that a corporation is a legal construct and corporations are not represented in the Constitution as having any rights or expectations. Only citizens, themselves, do.
US government makes PLENTY of rules for business.
Take the shot or don’t take the job.
How do I get around this?
Bring your exemption certificate which was approved by a reasonable accommodater...your spouse has reasonably filled that job.
They stated reasonable, so they shouldn't be unreasonable as to who approved the form.
Good ideer
Look elsewhere.
A week ago, someone I knew, in his early sixties, got a Covid booster jab on Saturday. He was active and in good health. He went home and dropped dead that night.
You may have no future at all if you play this dangerous game of Russian Roulette.
“unless otherwise exempted by approved reasonable accommodation” is your only out. I speak from experience. A religious or physiological exemption can be granted by the HR department. It’s the law. Good luck.
A relative just graduated from a blue state university. The relative already had covid. He didn't have to take the jab, but had to test a couple of times a week. The university in my town were mostly vaxxed, boosted, and masked up at the beginning of the semester. Covid still ripped through the university at much higher levels than earlier waves
Honestly the best advice is to find somewhere that respects you as a human being…
If they believe they have this kind of control over you as an employee just imagine what else they think they have control over.
Even if you can get an exemption from this policy on health or religious grounds fact you don’t comply will sooner or later be held against you openly or privately.
Better off finding a different job and letting this company know exactly why you won’t be working for them.
They are telling you that you will be treated like a farm animal as long as you work for them.
Get Mooooving on to the next job application.
My suggestion. Seek out an attorney that can assist.
You’re going to get a lot of ignorant advance from some of the intellectual titans on FR, which this thread is bearing out.
Ignore them and seek out an attorney.
“decided to go ahead and get the booster”
You just discovered what power is.
They have it.
You don’t.
Getting power back is not going to be easy—it will probably require an entire generation of heros to make it happen.
I wonder if they will even check for a vax card. I do not recommend saying that you already got it of course.....
good luck finding a corporation that will treat you like a human being. These are the same people that have outsourced our jobs and manufacturing to china, eliminated pensions, and replaced their workforce with illegals and immigrants. Yeah, they really “care.” But the neoCONs say this is great and it’s just capitalism. Screw over your fellow Americans, it’s the neoCON way. All to make a buck. Never forget that these corporations did NOT play by the rules. They cheated and they screwed over the American people. But when questions they will cry “capitalism!.” But it’s really fascism, oligarchy, and crony capitalism that they seek to the detriment of 95% of Americans.
Look elsewhere for a job
And don’t forget that the HR departments have been filled up by raving lunatic communists.. any corporation resisting such takeover has been sued into oblivion because “muh diversity”
Don’t take the job.
Not all aerospace companies require the shots.
Per a current employee friend of mine, Raytheon doesn’t; they went to “test if you’re coming in to the office/factory” when they found out that 10% of their people would leave if the shots mandate were enforced.
They had been postponing the deadline, and after the judge made his ruling against govt contractors mandating, the company said “test”.
