I grew up in ‘The People’s Republic of Milwaukeestan.’ For a Big City, it was a WONDERFUL place to be a kid.
Stuff like this did NOT happen.
Always loved Water Street as a teenager/20-something. Great food, good music, great beer.
Dad got us out of there in 1970. I thank him every day for doing that. I think we have ONE relative still living in Milwaukee proper, but she’s kinda nutty. Everyone else has fled.
Note: Milwaukee has not had a Republican Mayor in close to 120 years.

Milwaukee is about 40 percent black, 37 percent white, 17 percent Hispanic, 6 percent “Asian”, and “other”.
Anywhere there are more than a handful of blacks there is usually a lot of violence and crime.
Basketball is a Black religion. For black boys who refuse education, the dream of being an NBA thoroughbred is all they have.

I’m in Milwaukee about 3-4 days per week in the 53206 area performing building inspections so I see the worst of the worst. I am in and out by 11 am if you know what I mean. I open carry my firearm on a chest holster, no one messes with me. I never see any cops, ever, it is a lawless society.

My daughters took their kids to the circus in Milwaukee yesterday evening. Probably no where near that area,
Basketball and violence are like holy communion and baptism for them.
