Parents in Barrington, Rhode Island have slammed a woke school district for cancelling honors classes as part of a move to increase inclusivity and equity amongst students. Barrington Public Schools were among the best in the state and known for equipping students for Ivy League colleges but have plunged 119 spots in official rankings since it changed its approach to teaching in 2020.

Having had 3 major surgeries in 4 years I found it best, if there is a choice of surgeons, is to meet with and chat with them and the one that best answers your questions and quells your fears is probably the one to go with. There is nothing better than to see a set of friendly, confident eyes just before they put you under and use that robot to go digging around inside of you looking for a tumor. If race is your tie breaker then so be it, it’s your life, your guts, your choice.

My boys are screwed. Both are straight A student athletes at the top of their classes. Both are taking AP courses, Both are active in the community. The oldest scored a 33 on his ACT and the youngest scored a 23 on his first test as an eighth grader.

Both will most likely loose a seat to someone who does not have their marks or leadership skills solely based on social scores.

It’s pathetic. It’s sad. It’s heartbreaking to watch as a parent. It’s even worse on the boys because they know it’s coming, but they just keep plugging along.

I pray for them everyday.
