Besides, if we were really interested in this, we'd have cut off India and China who are buying Russian oil to fund their war in Ukraine. That is the long-term challenge and national security risk to the US--will we let India and China do whatever they want because of cheap Indian labor and cheap Chinese products?

If that were truly the case, then we wouldn’t be having a civil war. Ukraine was part of Russian for most of the past century, they share common bonds, culture, history, and many, some areas a majority of their population is Russian. This is a civil war that has been going on for something like 20 years. We’ve now stirred it up with NATO and so forth, now funding them as proxies to fight Russia. Instead, like with Trump, real leadership would have helped prevent the war and bloodshed that Biden and company, plus their Never Trump neocons and allies, have relished.

No matter how you slice it, Russians are there because they killed the Ukrainians before, during, and after WWII so they could steal their food.
The Russ haven’t had a claim to that piece of land since the Mongols swept through there.
