Most know her as the "grinning girl" meme:
Very sad story.
“The family is devastated, listing everything Kailia had ahead of her and her accomplishments during her 16 years, saying, “She won countless crowns & trophies after competing on the pageant circuit her entire life ... Her highly acclaimed talent as a contortionist had already led to professional touring job offers, and she had recently been selected to be a cheerleader at her high school next fall.”
Maybe she grew tired of being exploited? 🤪
What in the world is happening to young people? This is terrible and I can’t imagine what pressures are making them do this.
Prayers for this young woman.
Fame does not bring happiness, quite often the opposite.
Those shows always creep me out.
L
Child abuse. Very sad.
Very sad. No parent should ever have their children go to “Hollywood”.
How many horrific stories are there?
Maybe she was tires of having to do so much, in addition to school work and person social things just with friends.
It’s not like she had a normal youth experience.
Too bad. Expectations of her kept going up until they exploded, it appears.
Damn. That’s sad as hell.
RIP 😢
Very sad. RIP.
The parents are responsible for teaching them that fame and fortune are nice but ultimately they are in the words of The Preacher “All vanity...”. Your life is worth so much more.
These kinds of girls, the ones heavily involved with pageants and such, are used to everyone paying attention to them and validating them
When they dont get that they get depressed
Suicides are often attempted by girls for attention purposes and not because they actually are making a serious attempt to di, ie they dont usually shoot themselves in the head like males, they make scratches across their wrist or take some pills that can be thrown up or pumped out
Parents who allow their children into show business are guilty of child abuse.
Also coming out just a day after the news that Naomi Judd killed herself.
People who are having an emotionally fragile time whether brief or longstanding are sensing that there is nothing in the way of their self inflicted deaths. The current culture just reeks of it.
Sexualized and judged on her looks by strangers from the day she could walk.
What could go wrong?
So sad. I can almost guarantee her mother pushed her too far. This isn’t something father’s involve themselves. Perhaps occasionally, but not as a rule.
Show business is a sewer, populated by some of the most evil people and some of the most damaged people in the entire world. My daughter was an immensely attractive and adorable child, and I lost count of the number of people (almost always women) who told us that she ought to be a model or actress. They were often highly offended when I said “over my dead body” and told them precisely what I thought of the entertainment industry.
