There were! Letter elimination kept me from bombing it.
The “Navy Hymn” has auxiliary verses to cover just about everything done in the Navy.
It’s an announcement about the children’s choirs, not a hymn ;-).
“Earth and All Stars” is in some of the hymnals I’ve got on the shelf.
Way to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
This excursion was a bit bedeviling; I was beginning to run out of alphabet.
I guessed this 5-letter word in 5/6 tries.

Afternoon!
Well spoken.
And true!
One of Sally’s fellow parts-delivery drivers was arrested on Monday for two misdemeanors and a felony related to an accident from which he fled the scene. The dealership is going to bail him out tomorrow so he can get back to work.
It is, and a nice one; not too hot, nice breeze.
Supposed to be working remote, but chatting with my daughter.
I’m making supper in a desultory sort of way. It will be dished up at some point to those who appear at the table.
Desperate for workers. No one wants to work these days, so it may be a “name your own price” kind of world.
Bail will only last until he’s convicted of the felony. Then he can claim “victim” status and be set free to do it again.
I’m sorry. The brain and the body are not working in conjunction with each other, so I’m going to go to bed. Maybe the chills will stop and I’ll feel better. I hope.
See you tomorrow.
I hope you have a good night and feel better tomorrow.

I actually had to work this one out with pen and paper.
And I did not care because I did not have to cook it. :)
After 3-1/2 hours of deep conversation with Daughter #1, I took Son #3 to the Army Recruiting Office for weekly something or other, then got Daughters #2 and #2 to gymnastics for the grizillionth time. Then to our regular date at Taco Bell for The Usual; inexpensive, satisfying, and not abhorrently unhealthy. It’s all fresh, anyway.
My Tween and Teen are trading fewer Barbies and more barbs.
[cue 7 second cut of “Ode To Joy”]
Shadows lengthen across the scene as a grim rider stares down the onrushing blast of meteorological inclemency; townsfolk scurrying for the hoped-for safety of homes and businesses with cries of “Run!” “Get inside!” and “Hide!”
When Dr. James Dobson entitled one of his many books “Parenting Isn’t For Cowards” he pretty much said it all.
Son #1 phoned yesterday as he was trying to get a Doctor’s Note saying he was too badly sunburned to wear the shoes necessary to do his regular job. He hadn’t any idea SPF 50 didn’t mean you couldn’t stay out in the solar radiation all day long in just swim shorts. Kids all think they’re Iron Man...
Of course, he’s a contractor, so there’s no benefits package and all of this is going to be out-of-pocket. More life lessons, there.
Sounds like no lost limbs, no felony record, so it should be okay.
Kitteh sez, “Da wurld iz odd.”
Good morning. Did you have a good night?
We’re supposed to have rain for the next week. And here I was, just enjoying the warmth when I went out to get the mail. The temperature drops and the humidity goes up. Unngh.
I didn’t have a good night, but I will be okay. I’ve had coffee!
Sorry to hear about more rain for you.
Here's another picture of the kitten. I thought you would like the blanket or wrap the hoomin has.
