Vax would not do much good at this point. Mutation has moved the virus form away from the original for which the vaxes were designed all over the world. Those who were early adopters have immunity fading fast and recovered immunity doing exactly the same thing.
Restrictions tried so far haven’t proven effective.
So we have a population with essentially no immunity in a society with no restrictions.
Delta was more deadly than the original, and Lambda in Peru certainly was. It won’t take much of a mutation for the next surge to be worse than Spring 2020. Gates’ 5% is optimistic.
This one will have a smallpox strain. He claimed to be interested in smallpox months ago. I wonder if I should get a smallpox vaccine. Been a long time since I first got one.
