"Not sure a 55 footer can really be classified as ‘Huge’" According to both the AP and Chicago style guides, it would be superfluous in a news story (and ESPECIALLY in a news story headline) to use "YUGE" in a description of any sort other than to distinguish it from a similar thing that WASN'T yuge.
Ipso facto, using "YUGE" in reference to a 55-foot ship is superfluous unless there alternatively is a "TINY" 55-foot ship it might otherwise be confused with.
And is that 55 feet from stem-to-stern, or 55 feet at the waterline? Because the story does not make that detail clear, and the two are very different things.
